Coaching for Individuals and Teams

What is Coaching? Coaching is partnering with people and teams to obtain progress towards the goal that the client sets. Coaching is a discovery-based process where we explore strategies and solutions together. A coach is not there to provide answers but to help you draw on your own strengths and insights to maximize potential. As spiritually-based coaches, Spirit at Work coaches start with the premise that all people are spiritual and that there is something outside ourselves that inspires and motivates each of us. Our coaches can help you find, explore and strengthen that focus.

Ethics and Values Consulting

Corporate values are not just guiding principles for company executives, but should provide a blueprint for all employees to follow in their individual jobs. Spirit at Work coaches work with executives and teams to examine corporate values and explore new ways align values with practice. We also provide ethical coaching for managers faced with difficult business decisions.

Workplace Chaplaincy

Spirit at Work coaches can provide individual one-on-one, non-religious, chaplain services for employees to discuss a wide range of work-life issues. Because we are on call 24/7, we can respond to a variety of crises and provide individual or group counseling. As chaplains, our coaches can also perform hospital and bereavement visitation, if needed. We are experienced in leading grief and stress-reduction workshops.

Seminars and Workshops

Continuing education is a vital part of workplace satisfaction. Spirit at Work coaches can provide seminars and "Lunch and Learn" talks about a wide variety of subjects including "The Art of Listening", "What's Your Spiritual Style?", and "Mindful Work."  We can also customize a retreat or offsite meeting for your team.

Doesn't Our EAP Already Do That?

While most companies already have a variety of ways to support their employees through a combination of health insurance and an Employee Assistance Program, Spirit at Work can complement programs that are already in place. Our services are not meant to replace traditional mental health care and counseling. Rather we are meant to be a first point of contact, by offering services that are local, relational and holistic. We also are trained to spot the need for referrals to mental health providers and other services as needed.

One advantage that Spirit at Work coaches have over your EAP is that we typically are already "on the ground" with your employees. Part of our mission is to form relationships and awareness before a crisis hits. Through coaching, seminars and just being present at company events, our coaches are friendly faces that employees can seek out confidentially when the need arises.

"Spirituality I take to be concerned with those qualities of the human spirit – such as love and compassion, patience, tolerance, forgiveness, contentment, a sense of responsibility, a sense of harmony – which bring happiness to both self and others." – Dalai Lama, Ethics for New Millennium
